Dr. Ruth Maloszek

Dr. Ruth Maloszek is an experienced science manager and holds a PhD in History (University of Hamburg). She worked abroad for many years in the fields of higher education and project management. At FAU she currently holds the position of a research associate at the chair of Media Education. Ruth Maloszek is iPEAR project administrator.

Dr. Iris Wunder

Dr. Iris Wunder holds a PhD in Technology Enhanced Learning (Lancaster University, UK). She has more than 15 years experience of teaching in the field of technology enhanced learning and research and currently holds the position of the e-learning coordinator of the faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Theology of the FAU. Iris Wunder is iPEAR project coordinator.

Dr. Chryssa Themeli

Chryssa Themeli is an educational researcher focusing on pedagogies that enhance learning and drive technological innovations. She currently works at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway, on European co-funded projects and professional training with immersive technologies. She blogs regularly at AACE review (Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education) and reviews papers at IRRODL, open praxis, education sciences, educational researcher, and Ed-media conferences.

Diana Trevino-Eberhard

Diana TREVINO-EBERHARD, Project Officer of EUCEN. In her current position at EUCEN Diana is working in different projects funded by the European Commission. She has two first degrees (Educational Sciences and Sociology) and a Master in Adult Education/Continuing Education. Currently she is doing a PhD and focuses on interrelations of institutional frameworks and the provision of adult and continuing education in England, Spain and Sweden. Before starting her work at EUCEN she gained professional experience in the German Institute of Adult Education. There she analysed effects of European political actions on federal and national structures of adult education systems within European countries. She has professional expertise in research-based project work in the field of adult education and in the field of knowledge transfer of project results at conferences or online media portals of adult and continuing education. Diana´s main role in i-PEAR is to contribute to designing and leading the Quality Assurance and Evaluation Plan.

Carme Royo

Carme Royo has been the Executive Director of EUCEN since 2008. In this position, she is on the one hand working with the Steering Committee of EUCEN in the strategic positioning of the Association at European level and coordinating relationships to external stakeholders. On the other hand, she is responsible for managing the day-to-day business of the Association as Director of the EUCEN Secretariat in Barcelona, including the development and management of EU-funded projects. In relation to this last point, she has fully and successfully coordinated 13 EUCEN projects since 2011 and been the manager of over 20 projects in which EUCEN has been participating as full partners. Her expertise lies the areas of Higher Education, University Lifelong Learning and Flexible learning. She has developed different types of tools such as policy recommendations, courses or guides, and written more than 20 publications in the last 5 years.

Prof. Ekaterina Prasolova-Førland

Prof. Ekaterina Prasolova-Førland is full Professor at the Department of Education and Lifelong Learning at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Ekaterina has been working with educational virtual worlds and immersive technologies since 2002, with over 100 publications in the field. She has been involved in developing educational virtual reality simulations for a wide range of stakeholders, from aquaculture industry to the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration. Ekaterina has founded and is leading Innovative Immersive Technologies for Learning (IMTEL) research group and VR lab at NTNU. She is Ambassador for Women in Immersive Tech, board member of XR Norway and member of several international expert panels. Prof. Prasolova-Førland frequently gives public speeches and interviews on immersive technologies for learning and training. She is currently working on a number of projects focusing on applications of immersive technologies in university education, climate change awareness, professional training, medicine, career guidance, collaborative learning and other areas.

Prof. Avgoustos Tsinakos

Prof. Avgoustos Tsinakos is director of the Advanced Educational Technologies and Mobile Applications (AETMA) Lab that was established in 2016. The AETMA research lab is part of the Department of Computing and Informatics Engineering at the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Institute of Technology (EMATTECH). AETMA research focuses on the development of educational and e-learning software; Augmented Reality applications and wearable technologies; mobile applications development & mobile learning; and technology enhanced learning. AETMA Lab has long-running cooperation in a variety of EU and national projects.

Dr. Anastasia Dimitra

Dr. Anastasia Dimitra, is the course leader of the Animation and Interactive Media course and Game design at AKTO (validated college Middlesex University, London). She has been served as an External – Associate Profe ssor in the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication at the University of the Aegean and University of West Attica. She is a member of the WBL Middlesex University, London. She has collaborated to produce animation films with animation studios in Greece, including Kounoupi and Artoon S.A. In 1995, she founded a production company and created several productions, such as Cartoonia 36/Episodes of 26 on Greek television.
In 2011, she created the films Diadromes 2015, Emmones and The Classmate, 2021. She has written books and papers concerning the art of animation and has been a jury member on several animation festivals, 2002 she was a member of the Selection Committee for the Hiroshima Animation Festival.
She is a member of ASIFA HELLAS/ ASIFA International, ASIFA Director of special projects.

Alexandros Despotopoulos

Awarded by the Junior Chamber International for his contribution in pioneering Project Management, Alexandros Despotopoulos is AKTO’s Development Programs Director, managing atthe same time the VET centres of AKTO. He carries more than 15 years of experience in managing educational development programs and educational organisations, mainly in the field of vocational training, SMEs and new technologies. He is a Researcher at the University of Athens – Department of Turkish and Modern Asian Studies (Phdc). He is a BA(Hons) European Studies holder (London South Bank University), MBA and MIB (International Business – AMC), MBA (University of East London) and MBA (Frederick University). He has been awarded a BTEC in Counselling (level 5 – Edexcel) and an accredited program on the BRIC economies (Oxford University).
